Medical Subject Headings A pathologic condition of acid accumulation or depletion of base in the body. The two main types are RESPIRATORY ACIDOSIS and metabolic acidosis, due to metabolic acid build up.
(CPTSP) CRISP Thesaurus pathologic condition resulting from accumulation of acid or depletion of the alkaline reserve (bicarbonate) content of the blood and body tissues, and characterized by an increase in hydrogen ion concentration (decrease in pH).
- stav, kdy organismus dokáže vyrovnat hromadění kyselých látek zvýšeným dýcháním (u metabolické a.) nebo zvýšenou tvorbou zásaditých látek, zejm. bikarbonátů u respirační a.. Hodnota pH krve přitom zůstává v rozmezí normálních hodnot. Nekompenzovaná a. akutní, resp. dekompenzovaná a. se projeví acidemií. Opak alkalóza. (cit. Velký lékařský slovník online, 2013 http://lekarske.slovniky.cz/ )
NCI Thesaurus An abnormally high acidity of the blood and other body tissues. Acidosis can be either respiratory or metabolic.
NCI Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events A disorder characterized by abnormally high acidity (high hydrogen-ion concentration) of the blood and other body tissues.
CHV An abnormal increase in the acidity of the body's fluids
CHV An abnormal increase in the acidity of the body's fluids
HPO Abnormal acid accumulation or depletion of base. [HPO:probinson]
